SILICON vs TradingView vs ChatGPT for trading: which one plans the trade?

A charting platform, a general AI chatbot, and a trading co-pilot built on live market data. They solve different problems. Here's which one to open for which job.

Updated 18 October 2026 · 4 min read

Short answer: use TradingView to chart, draw and script. Use ChatGPT for general questions. Use SILICON when you want the market read done for you from live data: which levels matter today, which currencies are strong, what the next big release could do to your pair, and whether your entry is confirmed. It explains all of that in plain language and helps you plan the trade.

What each one is built for

TradingView: the chart

TradingView is the standard charting platform: fast charts, a huge indicator library, custom scripting, alerts and a big community. It's excellent at showing you the market. Deciding what matters on that chart is still your job.

ChatGPT: the generalist

A general AI assistant is great for explaining concepts or drafting a checklist. Ask it for today's levels on gold, though, and it isn't working from the chart you trade. It can state a level with confidence that no chart supports.

SILICON: the co-pilot that does the analysis

SILICON does the analysis first and lets the AI explain it second. The assistant reads SILICON's own live analysis before it answers, so it explains numbers it can show you. When it doesn't have the data, it says so instead of guessing.

What SILICON gives you

The levels that matter tomorrow

Not every line on the chart. A short list of the levels the next session is most likely to trade to, each with its own track record, so you know which ones deserve your attention. Replay any past day to see how the levels held up.

Which currency is strong, and which pair to trade

A weekly and daily read of currency strength, with the pairs that line up best and up to three distinct ideas to choose from. It waits for confirmation before calling an entry.

Before the big releases

Before CPI, NFP and other high-impact data, SILICON maps out what each outcome could do to your pair and what it would take to change the central bank's next move.

The bigger picture

Is your pair cheap or expensive? Are bond markets flashing stress? Who is positioned where? It covers the slow forces behind a trend, not just the next candle.

Entry timing, and when to stop adding

A clear yes, wait or no on whether an entry is confirmed right now, and when to stop adding to a position. Test the idea against past data before you risk money on it.

One assistant across all of it

Ask it about the session, the news, a release or your open position. It answers from the same analysis you see on screen.

Where the others are better

  • Custom indicators and drawing: TradingView is hard to beat.
  • Broker-connected charting: TradingView connects to many brokers.
  • Anything that isn't trading: a general assistant covers far more ground.

Plenty of traders use all three: TradingView to execute, SILICON for the read and the plan, and a general assistant for everything else.

FAQ

Is there an AI that analyses forex and gold with live market data?

Yes. SILICON reads the live market, works out what matters today, then explains it and helps you plan the trade.

Can ChatGPT give me trading levels?

Not from the live chart you trade. SILICON works from live data and shows how reliable each level has been.

Is SILICON a TradingView alternative?

It's more of a complement. TradingView is the stronger charting platform; SILICON does the analysis and the plan.

Is SILICON a signal service?

No. It shows its reasoning and helps you build a plan. It doesn't place trades or promise results.

See today's read on your pair. Ask SILICON what's driving the market you trade.
