How to
How to replay a past trading day to learn which levels hold
The fastest way to trust a set of levels is to watch them work, or fail, on days you didn't trade. Replay lets you do that in minutes without hindsight leaking in.
In short: on Next-Day Levels, switch on Replay, pick a past day, and press play. You see the levels exactly as they stood that evening, then the next session is revealed bar by bar. A running score tells you how many levels were reached, held and broken across the days you've played.
Why replay beats scrolling back
Scrolling back on a chart, your eye already knows what happened, and every level you draw is drawn with that knowledge. Replay rebuilds the levels from what was known that evening only, then hides the next day until you play it. It's the honest version of "would this have worked?"
Step by step
- Open Next-Day Levels and pick your instrument and timeframe.
- Switch on Replay. It jumps to the most recent day you can replay. Use Jump to to pick another.
- Read the board as if it were that evening. Decide which level you'd have traded and where.
- Press play. The next session draws in bar by bar. Pause, scrub back, or step through it.
- Check the scorecard. Each level is marked as not reached, reached and held, or broken. Step to the previous or next day and the running tally builds up.
What to look for
- Which kinds of level hold for your pair. Some pairs respect yesterday's high and low; others care more about round numbers. Replay a week and it becomes obvious.
- How far price overshoots before reversing. That tells you where to put a stop so ordinary noise doesn't take you out.
- Which days to skip. If levels kept breaking on news days, that's a rule worth writing down.
Replay the session, too
The Session Map has its own replay: it breaks a past session into its moves and shows where traders got caught on the wrong side. Ten minutes of replaying both teaches more than a week of watching live.
FAQ
Does replay use hindsight?
No. The levels are rebuilt from data up to that evening only. The next session is revealed bar by bar, so what happened later can't influence the levels you're judging.
How far back can I replay?
Any recent completed session the page has history for, usually several weeks depending on the timeframe.
Can I replay a session map too?
Yes. The Session Map has its own replay for walking through how a past session unfolded.
